Last Saturday, members of the GRP Solutions team spent the morning helping to tidy up the local area, joining volunteers from Community Spotlight CIC for their monthly litter pick around Hilsea railway station.
The clean-up forms part of the Hilsea Station Adoption Project, an initiative that brings together volunteers, community groups and businesses to improve the station and create a more welcoming environment for everyone who passes through it.
Alongside litter picking, the project also includes activities such as gardening, photography and wider community engagement, all aimed at enhancing the space and strengthening local connections.
Community Spotlight CIC, who organise and support initiatives like this, are dedicated to building stronger, healthier and more resilient communities. Through inclusive events, workshops and collaborative projects, they create opportunities for people to connect, reduce social isolation and play an active role in their local area. Their work brings together individuals, organisations and local spaces to help communities thrive.
It was great to see our team getting involved in such a simple but meaningful way. Supporting initiatives like this reflects what we stand for as a business, doing the right thing and playing a positive role in the communities we are part of.
