GRP Solutions is taking the next step in its growth, with plans to establish operations across Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark, beginning in January 2027. The expansion will see GRP Solutions develop a local presence across the Nordic region, with dedicated sales teams and warehousing planned in each country.
Since its establishment in 2015, GRP Solutions has grown to become one of the UK's leading distributors of composite materials, building its reputation on strong relationships, technical expertise and a commitment to doing the right thing. The move into the Nordics will bring its extensive portfolio of world-class composite products, specialist knowledge and supporting services to a wider European market.
More than materials
GRP Solutions has always believed that successful distribution is about more than simply supplying products. By working closely with customers and suppliers, the business helps identify the most appropriate solutions to technical and commercial challenges.
As operations develop across the region, Nordic customers will gain access to a comprehensive range of composite materials, backed by technical support, process equipment, engineering services and practical industry expertise. The ambition is to combine the capabilities and resources of an established business with the accessibility and personal service of a local supplier.
A familiar face leading the way
Leading the Nordic expansion is Tommi Buckley, Director Nordics, whose appointment brings together extensive composites industry experience and a strong personal connection to the region.
Born and raised in Finland, Tommi spent 20 years working in the UK's marine composites sector, progressing to a directorship within a composites manufacturing business.
His relationship with GRP Solutions goes back to the company's beginnings, initially working as a consultant before joining the business full-time to develop its technical service offering. Having now relocated to Finland, Tommi is returning to familiar territory to lead the development of GRP Solutions across the Nordic region.

Tommi will be supported by a growing local team, including Jarno Hellman, Head of Sales Finland, and Tomas Sjöö, Business Manager Sweden, as GRP Solutions develops its presence across the four countries.
The expansion builds on the values that have shaped GRP Solutions since its inception: delivering better solutions, driving positive change and doing good.
As the business prepares for the first phase of its Nordic operations in January 2027, its ambition is to establish lasting relationships with customers and suppliers across the region, combining local knowledge with the expertise, products and service that have driven its success in the UK.
