We had a fantastic day at the URBOND Work Experience Fair in Portsmouth Yesterday!
The event brought together a wide range of local businesses from across different sectors, all with the shared goal of supporting the next generation in exploring career opportunities.
Brian Harpur gave an inspiring talk on the value of work experience. He spoke about why it’s not just about finding the right company, but making sure it’s the right fit for you, and how any opportunity to spend time in a business is valuable, even discovering what you don’t enjoy helps shape your path just as much as finding what you do.
It was brilliant to see how engaged the young attendees were, especially with the great questions they asked following the presentations.
We met some truly impressive young people and are excited to welcome some of them to GRP for work experience placements over the coming months. It’s a privilege to offer them an insight into our world and share the values that guide us, especially our commitment to “doing the right thing,” which helps make GRP a great place to work.
